New to Church?

Welcome! Whether you've just moved to the area or have lived here all your life, we hope our website helps you to find out everything you want to know about this church.

We realise that coming to a church for the first time can be scary.  This page includes some practical information to make your visit as easy as possible. Please feel free to contact us if you would like any more information before you come.

Our Pastor is Spencer Critoph, and he and his wife, Laura, live very locally with their three boys.

Some key information...

When & where does the church meet?
We meet every Sunday at 10.30 am at:
Causeway Community Church
The Causeway
Potters Bar
Herts
EN6 5HQ

Parking on site is limited. Please park in any of the local streets, taking into consideration the needs of our neighbours. You can see a map on our 'Contact us' page.

In addition to our Sunday Service we have a number of midweek activities for all ages.  More information is available in the 'What's On' section of this website.

What should I expect if I come on a Sunday?
You will be greeted by a member of our Welcome Team who will be able to answer any questions you might have about our gathering. They will give you a Bible and will show you where you need to go. During our Sunday service we spend time singing, praying, reading from God's word and listening to it being taught.  Our usual practice is to work our way through a book of the Bible (or part of one), taking a section each week.

Our services usually last about an hour and a quarter. After the formal part of our meeting finishes tea and coffee are served in the main hall. Please do stay if you can - we would love to get to know you.  You can find out more information about the church or ask any questions you have.

What happens to the children on a Sunday?
Children join us for the start of the service and then leave for their groups after about 15 minutes.  They have fun playing games, making crafts and learning about Jesus in a way tailored to their age.

Is there a dress code?
No! Please just come dressed as yourself!

Will I have to join in?
Not at all!  You are free simply to observe or to participate as much as you feel comfortable. Most of our time together is led from the front by one of our leadership team.  You will not be asked to say anything in front of others.

I have more questions, how can I get in touch?
Please feel free to contact us via the Contact Form.
